Dedicated stock alerting app
StockPlus vs Stock Alarm
An app whose entire product is the alert: price, percent-move, volume and technical triggers, delivered by push, email or an actual phone call.
Choose StockPlus if
Knowing what you will pay, and what else arrives with the alert. Their three published surfaces disagree with each other, and the cheapest route into the alerting product is $19.99/mo against our $2.99/mo. StockPlus also carries congressional and insider filings, an earnings calendar and a morning briefing, none of which they have, so a firing alert usually already has context attached.
Choose Stock Alarm if
Alert breadth and delivery, and it is not close. Their Gold plan advertises “Unlimited price, percent-move, volume & technical alerts” with “Push, email, and phone-call delivery, 24/7”. StockPlus does price and percent-change alerts and pushes them, full stop. We cannot fire on a moving-average cross or an RSI limit, we will never ring your phone, and our free tier is 3 live alerts against their “unlimited”. If your alert is a rule rather than a number, they are the correct choice and we are not.
Feature by feature
| Feature | StockPlus | Stock Alarm |
|---|---|---|
| Daily AI market briefing | Yes — one two-minute AI briefing every morning | No daily briefing. AI research sits in the separate pro.stockalarm.io terminal, which their own site calls a separate subscription |
| Real-time watchlist | Yes | Yes. Their Pro tier describes a “65,000+ asset screener, live charts, heatmaps”, as of August 2026 |
| Price alerts | Yes — price and percent-change alerts | Yes, and it is the entire product: “Unlimited price, percent-move, volume & technical alerts” on Gold, as of August 2026 |
| Congressional trade feed | Yes | No |
| Insider trade feed | Yes | No |
| Earnings calendar | Yes — with reminders | Earnings are an alarm trigger rather than a calendar you can browse |
| Single score per stock | Pulse Score, 0–100 per ticker | No |
| Mobile app | Yes — iOS and Android | Yes, iOS and Android |
| Free tier | Yes | Claimed but never quantified. The membership page shows only Gold and Pro with no free plan, and no page we could read states what the free tier allows |
| Paid price | Pro, $2.99/mo | Three of their own surfaces disagree, as of 27 August 2026. Membership page: Gold $19.99/mo, Pro $44/mo or $440/yr. App Store in-app purchases: Bronze $4.99/mo and $53.99/yr, Silver $9.99/mo and $95.99/yr, Gold $19.99/mo and $164.99/yr. app.stockalarm.io/pricing showed “PRO PLAN $168.00/year” earlier the same day and no price at all by the afternoon |
The verdict
Buy Stock Alarm if the trigger is the point. Nothing StockPlus does replaces a technical alert or a phone call at 2am, and pretending otherwise would be silly. Buy StockPlus if you want a plain price or percent-change alert to arrive next to the day's news, your watchlist, congressional and insider filings and a two-minute briefing, for $2.99/mo instead of $19.99. One caution that applies whichever you choose: read their price on the surface you will actually be charged on, because the App Store, the membership page and the web app do not currently agree.

Questions people ask
How much does Stock Alarm cost?
That depends which of their pages you read, which is the honest answer rather than a dodge. On stockalarm.io/membership, read 27 August 2026, Gold is “$19.99 /mo” and Pro is “$44 /mo or $440/yr”. The App Store listing for the same app discloses Bronze at $4.99/mo and $53.99/yr, Silver at $9.99/mo and $95.99/yr, and Gold at $19.99/mo and $164.99/yr, so the store sells two tiers the membership page no longer advertises and an annual Gold rate the site does not show. app.stockalarm.io/pricing displayed “PRO PLAN $168.00/year” with a 30% off flag earlier on the same day and showed no price at all when re-read that afternoon.
Does Stock Alarm have a free tier?
It says so, but does not say what it includes. As of 27 August 2026 the membership page shows only Gold and Pro, with a “free week to start” trial rather than a free plan, and no page we could read states a free-tier limit. Compare that with StockPlus, where the free tier is 3 live price alerts and 1 keyword alert, or StockAlert.pro, which prints “$0/month, up to 5 active alerts” on the page.
Can Stock Alarm alert on RSI or a moving-average cross?
Yes, and StockPlus cannot. Their Gold plan advertises unlimited technical alerts alongside price, percent-move and volume triggers. StockPlus supports price above, price below, percent change above, percent change below and a news keyword match, and nothing technical. If an indicator condition is the alert you want, we are the wrong product.
Will Stock Alarm phone me when an alarm triggers?
It advertises exactly that: “Push, email, and phone-call delivery, 24/7” on its Gold plan, read 27 August 2026. No other product in this comparison set will ring you. StockPlus delivers by push only, evaluated on our servers rather than on your device, so it works with the app closed but it will never wake you with a call.
Is Stock Alarm the same thing as Stock Alarm Pro?
No, and their own site says so. app.stockalarm.io/pricing states “Stock Alarm Pro and StockTouch are separate products” and describes the terminal at pro.stockalarm.io as a separate subscription. The membership page bundles the terminal into its $44/mo Pro tier. Check which product a price refers to before subscribing.
