Multi-market insider transaction screener
The best Insider Screener alternatives
Insider Screener alternatives get searched from both directions. US-only investors find it broader than they need and would rather not pay for 15 markets they will never look at. Everyone else runs into the plan limits: tracked stocks, saved screens and monthly export caps all scale by tier, and real-time email alerts sit on the top plan only. Either way, what people want next is usually fewer markets and less setup.
7 options below, including ours: the ones closest to what Insider Screener is actually for, ordered by how close — not ranked best to worst. The right pick depends on whether your problem is choosing stocks, following them, or tracking a portfolio. We compare 37 tools in all.

Stock screener and market visualisation
Finviz
A long-running web stock screener, best known for its market heat map, with charts, an insider-trading screen and an earnings calendar alongside.
- Best for
- Screening, and the heat map. Finviz is the screener most people in this market picture when they hear the word, it is fast, and a great deal of it is usable free in a browser without an account. StockPlus has no screener that competes.
- Free tier
- Yes — much of the site, with delayed data
- Paid from
- Elite $39.50/mo, or $299.50/yr — $24.96/mo — as of August 2026
Stock alert service
StockAlert.pro
A web service whose entire product is alerts: 23 trigger types across price, technicals, volume, fundamentals, dividends and social sentiment.
- Best for
- Alert variety, by a wide margin. RSI limits, moving-average crossovers, Bollinger Band touches, P/E thresholds, ex-dividend and payment dates, Reddit and X sentiment, and time-based reminders are all triggers here. StockPlus does price and percent-change alerts. If you want to be told when RSI crosses 30 on a name you follow, we cannot do that and they can.
- Free tier
- Yes, Basic: up to 5 price and time alerts and 2 watchlist stocks
- Paid from
- Premium $19.99/mo, with a yearly option saving 17%, as of August 2026
Charting and analysis platform
TradingView
The charting platform most traders end up on — advanced charts across every asset class, a scripting language for custom indicators, and a large community publishing ideas.
- Best for
- Charts, and it is not close. Pine Script, hundreds of built-in indicators, multi-chart layouts, replay, and a community publishing setups every day. If you draw on charts to make decisions, nothing in StockPlus replaces TradingView.

- Essential $12.95/mo to Ultimate $199.95/mo, plus exchange data fees, as of August 2026
Visual fundamental analysis
Simply Wall St
Fundamental analysis turned into pictures — the Snowflake visual summarises value, future, past, health, and dividend for a company at a glance.
- Best for
- Making fundamentals legible. The Snowflake and the DCF-driven fair value estimates are the clearest way most people will ever see a balance sheet, and the free tier is unusually generous for what it teaches.
- Free tier
- Yes — limited stock views per month
- Paid from
- About $10/mo Premium and $20/mo Unlimited billed yearly, as of August 2026
Free market data portal
Yahoo Finance
The default free finance portal — quotes, news, and portfolios for practically every listed company, with paid Premium tiers on top.
- Best for
- Breadth. Yahoo Finance covers more tickers, more fundamentals, and more news than any focused app, and most of it is free. If you want to look something up, it is almost always there.
- Free tier
- Yes
- Paid from
- Premium $7.95–$39.95/mo billed yearly, as of August 2026
SEC Form 4 and institutional filing tracker
SECForm4.com
A long-running free website that monitors SEC EDGAR for Form 4 insider transactions, 13D and 13G ownership filings, and quarterly 13F institutional holdings.
- Best for
- Depth on the filing types nobody else bothers with. Form 4 is the well-covered one. SECForm4.com also carries 13D and 13G ownership filings, hedge fund quarterly reports, top-100 fund lists, money-flow and performance screeners, and insider buy/sell ratio charts. StockPlus shows insider transactions and 13F holdings; it does not touch 13D or 13G at all.
- Free tier
- Yes, the site describes free insider trading reports, with a premium membership on top
- Paid from
- Not published. The site sells a premium membership, but /pricing.htm returned 404 on 27 August 2026 and the products page names no figure
Competitor pricing and features were last verified in August 2026 from each vendor’s own site and are quoted “as of” that date. Check with them before deciding.
