Charting and analysis platform
The best TradingView alternatives
TradingView alternatives get searched for two very different reasons. One is price: a Premium seat plus real-time exchange data adds up fast for someone who mostly wants to watch a watchlist. The other is scope: TradingView is built for people who make decisions at the chart, and a lot of investors who signed up eventually admit they were never going to draw a trendline.
7 options below: 6 independent alternatives, ordered by how close each one sits to what TradingView is actually for rather than best to worst, plus our own app, listed on its own so you can tell the two apart. The right pick depends on whether your problem is choosing stocks, following them, or tracking a portfolio. We compare 37 tools in all.
Where TradingView still wins
Charts, and it is not close. Pine Script, hundreds of built-in indicators, multi-chart layouts, replay, and a community publishing setups every day. If you draw on charts to make decisions, nothing in Stockplus replaces TradingView.
If that is the part you rely on, staying put is a reasonable answer, and nothing below is an upgrade on it.
The app we make
This page is published by Stockplus, so our own app is shown here rather than given a place in the ranking below.
AI stock tracker
Our appStockplus
A daily AI market briefing, a real-time watchlist with a 0–100 Pulse Score, price alerts, and congressional and insider trade feeds.
- Best for
- Keeping up in two minutes a day
- Free tier
- Yes
- Paid from
- $3.99/mo Pro
6 alternatives to TradingView
Stock screener and market visualisation
Finviz
A long-running web stock screener, best known for its market heat map, with charts, an insider-trading screen and an earnings calendar alongside.
- Best for
- Screening, and the heat map. Finviz is the screener most people in this market picture when they hear the word, it is fast, and a great deal of it is usable free in a browser without an account. Stockplus has no screener that competes.
- Free tier
- Yes, much of the site, with delayed data
- Paid from
- Elite $39.50/mo, or $299.50/yr ($24.96/mo), as of August 2026
Stock alert service
StockAlert.pro
A web service whose entire product is alerts: 23 trigger types across price, technicals, volume, fundamentals, dividends and social sentiment.
- Best for
- Alert variety, by a wide margin. RSI limits, moving-average crossovers, Bollinger Band touches, P/E thresholds, ex-dividend and payment dates, Reddit and X sentiment, and time-based reminders are all triggers here. Stockplus does price and percent-change alerts. If you want to be told when RSI crosses 30 on a name you follow, we cannot do that and they can.
- Free tier
- Yes, Basic: up to 5 price and time alerts and 2 watchlist stocks
- Paid from
- Premium $19.99/mo, with a yearly option saving 17%, as of August 2026
Dedicated stock alerting app
Stock Alarm
An app whose entire product is the alert: price, percent-move, volume and technical triggers, delivered by push, email or an actual phone call.
- Best for
- Alert breadth and delivery, and it is not close. Their Gold plan advertises “Unlimited price, percent-move, volume & technical alerts” with “Push, email, and phone-call delivery, 24/7”. Stockplus does price and percent-change alerts and pushes them, full stop. We cannot fire on a moving-average cross or an RSI limit, we will never ring your phone, and our free tier is 3 live alerts against their “unlimited”. If your alert is a rule rather than a number, they are the correct choice and we are not.
- Free tier
- Claimed but never quantified. The membership page shows only Gold and Pro with no free plan, and no page we could read states what the free tier allows
- Paid from
- Three of their own surfaces disagree, as of 27 August 2026. Membership page: Gold $19.99/mo, Pro $44/mo or $440/yr. App Store in-app purchases: Bronze $4.99/mo and $53.99/yr, Silver $9.99/mo and $95.99/yr, Gold $19.99/mo and $164.99/yr. app.stockalarm.io/pricing showed “PRO PLAN $168.00/year” earlier the same day and no price at all by the afternoon
Research and analysis subscription
Seeking Alpha
A research subscription built around contributor analysis, earnings call transcripts, and a quantitative rating for every stock.
- Best for
- Depth of written research. Nothing in Stockplus replaces reading a well-argued bull and bear case, and Seeking Alpha's transcript library and Quant Ratings are genuinely strong for investors doing the work themselves.
- Free tier
- Yes, limited article access
- Paid from
- Premium about $299/yr, as of August 2026
Free market data portal
Yahoo Finance
The default free finance portal: quotes, news, and portfolios for practically every listed company, with paid Premium tiers on top.
- Best for
- Breadth. Yahoo Finance covers more tickers, more fundamentals, and more news than any focused app, and most of it is free. If you want to look something up, it is almost always there.
- Free tier
- Yes
- Paid from
- Premium $7.95–$39.95/mo billed yearly, as of August 2026
Alternative data platform
Quiver Quantitative
An alternative-data platform that surfaces congressional trading, lobbying, government contracts, insider filings, and retail chatter as browsable datasets.
- Best for
- Dataset depth. On congressional trading specifically, Quiver goes far past what Stockplus shows: backtesting, per-politician pages, lobbying and contract data alongside. If alternative data is the reason you are here, they are the specialist.
- Free tier
- Yes, limited dataset access
- Paid from
- API from $30/mo, or $25/mo billed annually, as of August 2026; the web Premium price is behind a registration wall
Competitor pricing and features were last verified in August 2026 from each vendor’s own site and are quoted “as of” that date. Check with them before deciding.
Questions people ask
What is the best free TradingView alternative?
For charting itself, stockanalysis.com and Finviz cover most of what a non-technical investor needs for free. For following positions rather than charting them, Stockplus and Yahoo Finance both have free tiers with watchlists and alerts.
Is there a cheaper alternative to TradingView Premium?
Depends what you use it for. If it is charts, no. The cheaper tools are genuinely less capable. If it is alerts and keeping up with a watchlist, Stockplus Pro is $3.99/mo against $59.95/mo for Premium as of August 2026, and does not need a separate data subscription for the basics.
Which TradingView alternative has congressional trade data?
Quiver Quantitative covers the dataset in the most depth. Stockplus includes a congressional trade feed in its free tier alongside insider filings and price alerts, with the daily briefing on Pro.
